About Us
Moonalua, the brand, was created with a lot of love by two mums wanting a bit more than your average baby & toddler outfit. Our gender neutral staple pieces are easy to match and were created to fit in your budget. Thinking of a capsule wardrobe, this first collection is a mix of what we like the most - a neutral colour that will match with pretty much everything.
The bones
Two friends on maternity leave with a lot of free time on their hands (not) decided to turn their passion for kids fashion into something else. As they say - sleep when they sleep, work when they work.
The name
Moonalua (‘moonalooa’) is a combination of a surname (Moon) and a name (Luana). Moon and Lua are the same word but in different languages. Moon is the English term for Lua, which is moon in Portuguese. Being mums to bilingual children, we thought that nothing would sound better than a mix of English and Portuguese that also signifies our own names.
